Our Beliefs

At Lifepointe Bible Church, our hope is in the sovereign grace of God, revealed in Scripture and fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the only infallible rule for faith and life, sufficient for all that we need to know God and live for His glory.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 19:7–11

God

We believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is infinite, holy, just, and good—the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who works all things according to the counsel of His will for His glory.

Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5–7; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 1:11

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, took on human flesh to redeem us. Fully God and fully man, He lived a sinless life, died as the perfect sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven where He intercedes for His people. He will come again to judge the living and the dead and to make all things new.

Scripture: John 1:1,14; Philippians 2:5–11; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 7:25; Acts 1:11

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit applies the work of Christ to God’s people. He regenerates hearts, brings repentance and faith, indwells believers, sanctifies us by grace, and equips us for worship, service, and witness.

Scripture: John 3:5–8; Titus 3:5–6; Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:22–23; Acts 1:8

Humanity and Sin

We believe humanity was created in God’s image to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever. Because of Adam’s fall, all people are born sinners, spiritually dead, and unable to save themselves apart from God’s sovereign grace.

Scripture: Genesis 1:26–27; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:10–12,23; Ephesians 2:1–3

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone. From eternity past, God chose a people for Himself, and through the finished work of Christ, He redeems them. By the Spirit’s power, we are united to Christ, justified by faith, adopted into God’s family, and kept secure until the end.

Scripture: Ephesians 1:3–6; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 3:24–26; Romans 8:29–30; John 10:27–29

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, comprised of all believers across time and place. The local church is a covenant community where God’s Word is faithfully preached, the sacraments rightly administered (baptism and the Lord’s Supper), and discipline exercised. The Church exists to worship God, build up believers, and proclaim the gospel to the nations.

Scripture: Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:11–16

The Future

We believe in the blessed hope of Christ’s return. He will raise the dead, judge the world in righteousness, and renew creation. God’s people will dwell forever in His presence in the new heavens and new earth, enjoying the fullness of His glory.

Scripture: Acts 17:31; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21:1–5; Revelation 22:1–5
